Manirathnam wants Ramcharan for Ponniyin Selvan .Ace director Manirathnam is planning a movie based on popular novel Ponniyin Selvan.
For this, he initially thought of casting Mahesh Babu but now dropped him.

Manirathnam was impressed with Ramcharan’s work in Magadheera(dubbed into tamil as maaveeran) and decided to cast him along with tamil actor Vijay in his movie.

Bollywood heroine priyanka chopra was initially casted but now she backed off and Manirathnam is looking for a big star heroine for this movie.

Charan has not confirmed this news officially but if this happens, his dream of working in straight tamil movie will be fulfilled.
